Now that our puppies are 5 weeks of age, they really enjoy play-sessions in the kitchen with all of their toys.  They have also ventured outside a few times and enjoyed playing in the snow for a couple of minutes before they got cold.  You can check out new photos of the pups HERE.

We would like to congratulate Jason Nelson and Trigger (Begleiter vom Coraschatten) on passing their first NAVHDA Utility Prepatory Test.  Jason and Trigger ran in the Mid-South chapter last weekend and earned a Prize III.

Since Colt is now 6 months old, I thought it was time to update his webpage with some new photos.  After the quick photo session, it was fun to watch him find and point his first wild pheasant.

Hunting season has been going really well so far.  The woodcock numbers are phenomenal and we are finding plenty of ruffed grouse and waterfowl to harvest as well.  I just updated our Photo Gallery's Field and Water pages with some hunting photos taken in Wisconsin over the past couple of weeks.

With testing finally behind us, this past weekend was our first full weekend of hunting.  We spent most of the day Saturday guiding for a group of youth hunters who had never had the opportunity to pheasant hunt before.  Its always so fun to see their faces when they harvest their first rooster.  You can check out some photos HERE.

Another great testing weekend!  We ran our Elli (Oilleli von der Schmiede) in her HZP yesterday and were thrilled that she was able to earn a super score of 187 points.  She was the highest scoring dog of the test despite being the youngest dog and being in the middle of her heat cycle.

Wow...what a weekend!  We ran Kaylee in our first VGP (German Utility Test) in Minnesota this past weekend.  Kaylee did a wonderful job and she ended up with a great score of 309 points and a Prize I.  It feels like a such a huge accomplishment to complete that test!  You can view a few photos taken after the completed test HERE.

When we got home last night, we immediately bred Kaylee to Nando vom Auwelt.  So with a few more breedings throughout this week and a little luck, we'll have a litter of Kaylee/Nando puppies to whelp in late November of this year.

Back home in Wisconsin, this past weekend was the youth waterfowl opener.  Luke Schoone and Magnum (Benelli vom Coraschatten) had a very successful first duck hunt together.  You can check out a couple of photos on Magnum's page HERE.

We would like to congratulate Ken Scheffler and Beretta vom Coraschatten ("Retta") for passing their first NAVHDA NA test this past weekend.  Retta earned 108 points and a Prize II.

A big congratulations goes out to Fred Maltase and Browning vom Coraschatten ("Bullet").  Bullet earned a 110 point Prize I when he re-ran his NAVHDA Natural Ability test this past weekend.  This brings our B litter's average NAVHDA NA score up to 111.5 points (out of 112)!

We are happy to announce that our Elli (Oilleli von der Schmiede) earned a maximum score of 112 points and a Prize I at her NAVHDA Natural Ability test yesterday.  Thanks to the three judges and all of the other handlers and audience members for a fun day in the field!

We have another great test score to report for a puppy from our B litter!  Congrats to John Lofgren and Briar vom Coraschatten!  Briar earned a good score of 63 points in a VHDF Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (HAE) earlier this month.  You can check out new photos of Briar HERE.

We would like to congratulate Benelli vom Coraschatten ("Magnum") and Greg and Traci Schoone on Magnum's outstanding NAVHDA Natural Ability performance today!  Magnum earned a maximum score of 112 points and a Prize I.  He is the fourth pup from his litter tested and the third pup to earn a maximum score.  You can view more information about his litter HERE.
